  • CSN + Singpass

    needed before your first submission

  • File upload

CPF EZPay calls this the FTP method

  • Pay to finish

a submission is complete only once paid

Before your first upload

  • A Singpass account for the person who submits.
  • A CPF Submission Number (CSN). Your UEN or NRIC alone is not enough. Apply on the CPF website with Singpass; CPF emails you when it is approved.
  • CPF EZPay access. For a company or other UEN-registered entity, set up and assign the “CPF EZPay” e-service to your authorised officers in Corppass first.
  • A way to pay. CPF recommends setting up Direct Debit early. You can also pay by PayNow QR.

Get the file from Wageclerk

  1. Enter the month’s wages

Open the wage sheet for the month and fill in each person.

  2. Check the review page

Read the totals and any warnings. CPF EZPay does not auto-compute amounts for file uploads, so the numbers in the file are the numbers you pay.

  3. Download the file

Save the CPF file to your computer.

Submit it in CPF EZPay

Log in to CPF EZPay with Singpass, choose the file upload (FTP) method, pick the payment month and upload the file. Check the amounts CPF shows, then choose how to pay.

Follow CPF’s own guide for the screens

CPF’s page does not give a screen-by-screen walkthrough for file uploads, and the screens can change. Its FTP User Guide has the current steps, and the FTP Specifications describe the file layout. Both are linked under Sources.

Pay to complete the submission

  • Your submission is only complete once you have paid. Check the status in CPF EZPay afterwards.
  • Direct Debit takes the money from your bank account after you submit. You can change a submission while its status is “Submitted”. Submissions made on a day are generally processed at 5:15pm that day.
  • PayNow QR is quick, but you cannot change the submission after you have paid.

If something is wrong

  • Paid too little. Pay the difference with “Submit ad hoc CPF payments” in CPF EZPay.
  • Paid too much, or for the wrong employee. CPF can refund it if you apply within one year of payment, subject to funds being available.
  • Wages changed after you downloaded the file. Wageclerk flags this in History so you know to download a fresh file.
