About these terms

Wageclerk is run by [Your full name or business name] (“we”), based in India. By creating an account or using Wageclerk you agree to these terms and to our Privacy Policy. If you don’t agree, please don’t use it.

What Wageclerk does, and doesn’t

Wageclerk helps small businesses in Singapore keep a staff list, enter monthly wages, work out CPF and Skills Development Levy, build the file for CPF’s upload service, and prepare payslips.

It does not:

  • submit anything to CPF, or pay anything, for you. You upload the file and pay yourself;
  • cover bonuses or other additional wages;
  • choose PR contribution rates for you (for first and second year permanent residents it uses the rate option set on each employee, graduated by default, so check it matches what you have agreed with CPF);
  • handle Skills Development Levy exemptions, foreign worker levy, tax or any filing with the Ministry of Manpower;
  • give legal, tax or financial advice.

Wageclerk is independent. It is not affiliated with or endorsed by the CPF Board, the Ministry of Manpower or any other government body.

Check the figures yourself

We take the rates and rules from CPF’s published sources and work hard to keep them current, but rules change and we may be slow to catch up. You are responsible for checking every figure, file and payslip before you upload, pay or issue it, and for paying the right amounts on time. Payslips must carry whatever the law requires for your staff, including allowances, overtime or other payments we don’t track.

Your account

  • You must be at least 18 and use Wageclerk for a business, or for your own business dealings.
  • Give accurate information and keep your password secure. You are responsible for what happens under your account.
  • One account is for one business.

Your employees’ data

You own the information you enter. You give us permission to process it only to provide Wageclerk to you. You confirm that you are entitled to enter it and have told your employees why you collect it. For that data, we act on your instructions as your data intermediary under the PDPA, and we agree to:

  • process it only to provide the service to you;
  • protect it with the safeguards described in our Privacy Policy, including encrypting ID numbers;
  • keep it only while your account is open, and delete it when you delete your account or ask us to;
  • tell you without undue delay if we have credible grounds to believe a breach has affected it, so you can meet your own duties;
  • help you respond when an employee asks to see or correct their data;
  • use the providers named in the Privacy Policy to run the service, and require them to protect the data, and tell you if we change them in a way that matters;
  • handle the data in Singapore and India, as described in the Privacy Policy.

Plans and payment

Wageclerk has a free plan that currently lets you keep up to 3 active employees, and paid plans for more. Current limits and prices are on the pricing page, and may change for future periods.

Payments are handled by Dodo Payments, which acts as the seller of record, and its terms apply to the payment. If a paid plan ends, you keep your data and your existing employees, but you can’t add more employees than the free plan allows.

Refunds: If you buy a paid plan and it isn't right for you, email us within 14 days of your first payment and we will refund it in full. After 14 days, annual plans are not refunded for the unused part of the year, but you can cancel at any time and keep your plan until the end of the period you paid for. When it ends, your account moves to the free plan and your saved data stays. If you were charged in error, or charged twice, we will refund the extra payment whenever you tell us. Refunds go back to the original payment method and can take 5 to 10 business days to appear.

Acceptable use

Please don’t:

  • use Wageclerk for anything unlawful, or enter details of people you have no right to handle;
  • try to get into other people’s accounts or data, or to break, overload or probe the service;
  • use bots or scripts to access Wageclerk in a way that harms it or other users.

Availability and changes

We aim to keep Wageclerk running but can’t promise it will always be available or error-free. It relies on other providers, and we may change or retire features. Please keep your own copies of CPF files and payslips.

Ending your use

You can stop using Wageclerk, or delete your account in Settings, at any time. Deleting is permanent. We may suspend or close an account that breaks these terms or puts the service or other users at risk, and we will tell you why where we can.

Liability

Wageclerk is provided “as is”. To the extent the law allows, we are not liable for indirect or consequential loss, lost profits, or penalties, interest or charges you incur because of a mistake, delay or error in Wageclerk or in how you used it. For anything else, our total liability is limited to what you paid us in the 12 months before the claim, or S$100 if you use the free plan. Nothing in these terms limits liability that the law does not allow to be limited.

Changes to these terms

If we make a material change, we will give you at least 14 days’ notice by email or in the app. Using Wageclerk after that means you accept the change.
